Rusdi’s journey in the IT field began in the early 1980s at the Palm Oil Research Institute of Malaysia, evolving over the years through significant roles that shaped his skills and expertise. His academic tenure includes significant stints at Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Utara Malaysia, where he served as a Senior Lecturer for 18 years. His academic journey was punctuated by a fellowship at the United Nations University/International Institute for Software Engineering in Macau and a research fellowship at the R&D unit of Telekom Malaysia. His prior experience in significant projects such as the the Malaysia Tactical Training System (MASTT) for Telekom Malaysia and the Design Technique For Real-Time System (DeTfoRs) at UNU/iist underscore his ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications, a quality that he brings into each training session at the academy.
His academic tenure includes significant stints at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Utara Malaysia, AlBukhary International University and University of Computer Science and Engineering, where he served as a Senior Lecturer and Associates Professor for 26 years
